Overview

LD Assistant PL 08 adds advanced lighting, sound, video and production tools to AutoCAD 2008. Designed as a plug-in for AutoCAD® 2008 releases, LD Assistant PL 08 is an object ARX and DBX driven program, written and compiled in C++.

LD Assistant PL 08 offers the easiest, most cost-effective way to design your lighting, sound, video and other production elements - and simulate the entire event in AutoCAD®.

LD Assistant PL 08 stores all of the drawing's information in a single DWG (AutoCAD) file to facilitate management of your design. Changes to paperwork will automatically be reflected in your drawing. There's also an extensive 2D/3D library with thousands of drag-and-drop objects, each dynamic representations of real-world objects including lighting fixtures, trusses, sound cabinets, people, doors, windows, etc.

Spreadsheet and database functions allow you to easily attach information to objects in your drawing, such as type, size, accessory, cable ID, channel, circuit, color, dimmer, DMX channel, DMX line, focus, frame size, gobos, position, part number, unit and pricing information.

LD Assistant PL 08 presentation tools let you create high-quality renderings with dramatic lighting effects and even animated AVI movies of your designs. Create photo realistic renderings from within the main drawing area, and render to a window or to a file. You can create new blocks, textures, gobos and even edit existing objects!

LD Control

LD Assistant 08 offers users more ways than ever to connect to their control solution of choice. Sixty-four (64) universes of DMX-512 inputs and outputs are available via a wide variety of industry standard USB and Ethernet products, including:
